This is the planned sequence. Departure time, access, meals and the exact exit are confirmed for your travel date.
Leave Beijing early with water and trail snacks for a full walking day.
Enter the old Wall and settle into a steady pace over rough stone and dirt paths.
Continue across the Gubeikou ridge and connecting paths into Jinshanling, taking short breaks rather than a lengthy sightseeing stop.
Pass the increasingly prominent towers and reconstructed sections while maintaining the day’s distance target.
Complete the eastbound traverse near West Simatai, subject to the current permitted endpoint.
Descend, eat and drive back to Beijing after the long hike.
The reference route is approximately 16 km and seven hours on foot. Choose it if you are comfortable with sustained climbing and a full day outside.
We will confirm the trail entrance, exit, walking distance, transport and guiding language for your date. Access and conditions can change with the season.
Share your travel date, group size, ages and hiking experience. We will send a current route plan with the meeting point, expected walking time, transport, meals, equipment where relevant, and a clear list of what is included. Private departures can be shaped around your pace; group departures follow their published schedule.
