Shanghai- Hangzhou West Lake One-Day Bus Tour
This one day tour is
designed for those who want to take a little break from Shanghai
and spend a day of calm and relaxation in Hangzhou, one of China’s most
beautiful cities and only a 2 hour drive from Shanghai. When
Marco Polo came to Hangzhou in the 13th century, he declared it
to be “the most beautiful and elegant city in the world". There
is a popular saying: "Above there is heaven, below there is
Hangzhou.” The premier feature of Hangzhou, and which you’ll be
visiting on this tour, is the West Lake. West Lake is man-made
and created after the Chinese love for garden style parks for
recreation. West Lake is a place of tranquility where urbanity
becomes a silhouette on the northeast horizon and mountains near
and far surround it on the other three sides. The occasional
pagoda and Chinese-style arched bridge add atmosphere to the
tree-lined walkways, verdant islands and hills. West Lake is so
renowned that a picture of it is even on the back of the Chinese
1 RMB bill!
As with our other bus tours, you will be picked up and dropped
off directly from your hotel, and you’ll also get to enjoy a
lunch of Zhejiang cuisine, one of the eight great culinary
styles of China. A great excursion for the whole family, come
see why Marco Polo thought of Hangzhou as the most beautiful
city on earth! |

reflecting pools, lavish temples and
lakeside teahouses. (driving time of 2

Countless carps live and play in Red Carp
Pond, fascinating thousands of visitors each
